McKenzie and Megan had so much fun making breakfast for the clan yesterday morning. They made two batches of pancakes with peaches for eleven people! Thanks girls!
After breakfast we headed to the Platte River. It's a warm river that feeds Lake Michigan not too far from our cottage. There is a current in the river that makes it like a natural lazy river. It's great to float down on your back or in an inner tube. Aidan had a blast again playing in the sand and in the water, although he didn't care for the current and cold water right by the mouth of the river into the Lake! Next year we're going to take a morning trip down the river even farther in an inner tube. Aidan should be old enough to sit still for a little bit and actually follow some instructions.
Greyson enjoyed laying right in the sand after he'd get out of the water.
New BFF, they'd only met that morning and hit it off right away! It reminds me so much of having fun with my cousin Rachel at the cottage. Great playmates for cottage fun!
Aidan is so funny. He wants adult sized food, not tiny baby pieces. He wanted these apple cores that had been cut up for fruit salad so bad. He couldn't have just one though, he needed the red one....

The cottage tradition...a campfire and roasting hot dogs and marshmallows! What fun! (Although I'm not entirely sure we were supposed to actually have a fire right now in MI...oh well! We were responsible and stayed in attendance until we doused it completely out with water).
This morning as we are packing up to go, we decided to pack Aidan up in his toy bag as well!
