We're up at our cottage now with Chris' best friend, his wife, and their three kids. Another of Chris' friends and his family are coming up tonight. We haven't had very good weather so far, but we're hoping the forecasters are right that tomorrow and Sunday should be nice days.
We were supposed to come up on Wednesday morning, but we've had a fiasco with a dryer. Ours died about two or three weeks ago. It was 28 years old, so it wasn't a surprise, but it was definitely an inconvenience. We finally broke down and bought a new one on Saturday. It was delivered Wednesday morning so that we could quickly finish some laundry and head up North. But, it wasn't so simple. Apparently the gas line we've been using is not to code anymore. So, needless to say, Chris was at the laundry mat on Wednesday night drying clothes and we didn't come up here until Thursday. And...the dryer still doesn't work because the gas line we fixed is leaking from somewhere....
Here are a few pictures from the last few weeks...but Blogger is being funny right now because this is on Safari so I can't see the pictures to put captions by them. There are ones from recent visit to the park, some ones around the house, and then here at the cottage.
I am endlessly amazed at the rate at which he is learning. It seems like he learns more than I anticipated. He can now tell me what a dog says "fff..ffff" (Translation: woof woof) and repeats this when he sees a picture or a real dog or simply when asked. He can hold up one little finger when asked how old he is. He is definitely a toddler to and has wants and wishes of his own. That's why I included the picture of him with the yogurt moustache because you can tell how much he wants something!
