Fall Cottage Fun

Last weekend my mom came to town and we had a blast at our cottage. It was good to see her again and have her be able to get to know Aidan better at this fun stage. He's become such a ham. He's still not officially talking, although he sure makes a lot of noise! I have figured out too that his talking is like understanding a foreign language. I think that most of his words are a variation of "dada". Some have different accents or emphasis, but you really have to listen for the nuances.

As you all know, Aidan loves to climb. Lately he's really enjoyed climbing on any sort of table. Here he is on the kitchen table. Once he gets up there, he dances. It's cute, but not a behavior I really want to encourage. He's also really into a toddler's version of hide and seek lately. He'll go stand somewhere and then all the sudden jump out.
We went to dry his blanket at a laundry mat in town and found this little dock with shorter sections just Aidan's height. He really enjoyed being able to look over and not through the slats.
But, he also wanted to climb into the water...I was afraid we were going to lose a shoe! We didn't! :)
Brushing his teeth is an important part of our day now, but Aidan does not like it. It's a struggle every day! We go to see the Pediatric dentist this Thursday, so maybe they'll have some advice.
This is what Aidan would rather do with the toothbrush...everything's a hairbrush! He is starting to associate objects with their uses, shoes go on feet, tissues wipe noses, lotion goes on the body, etc. But, he has so much to learn still!
