A few weeks ago we went to the Gardens for a toddler class. We had a great time slowing down and exploring the world with our five senses. As many of you may know already things have been quite hectic for us lately. Chris has moved to Traverse City for a job. I am in the process of applying for jobs up there as well and will eventually move up there as well. So, as you can imagine, there is a lot of preparation but not much time.
We made plaster hand prints after digging in the sand to find things with different textures.

(Unfortunately they broke the handprint, so they sent us home with extra plaster.)
Playing follow-the-leader.
Trying to get a picture of mommy and Aidan proves to be difficult!
Using our ears...

Pretending to sleep after discovering a perfect bed. He's smart too, he took the mat he used for story time and put it in the bottom.

He looks sad, but we really had a great time. He made this flower mask by himself.

Reading and learning colors, how fun!

Christi,
So happy to see these photos and get an update on your activities.
I'm heading off to the dr. office this morning, feeling really crappy. No idea what it is.
You asked about my "new" camera. No, it is my same old Nikon, just that this would be the first time to use it at the hummingbird house.
Talk to you soon.
I can imagine Aidan playing "Follow the Leader" only if he is the leader!
For him to participate in a group activity like this is very cool in his development. Very cute.
