Gingerbread Houses

Our playgroup that has moved from Fridays to Mondays due to changing work schedules...but has meet nearly every week since our kids were all born 2 1/2 years ago.  We've all become great friends, and luckily the kids are good friends as well...at least so far!  :)

Yesterday EB made these cute little gingerbread houses for the kids to decorate.  Great idea in theory...they even turned out super cute.  However, the kids were all quite naughty afterwards.  Was it all the excitement...the sugar...the lack of real food (before the sugar intake)...or just toddlerhood?  Who knows, but we were all ready for a nap following this excitement.
The kids did most of the eating, the mommies did most of the decorating.  I was trying to get more of the candy on the house, so that he wouldn't eat as much!
Pure excitement!  :)
Notice the eating, and lack of decoration on the houses...
Carolyn even tried to get the candy back off of the house!  :)
The finished product!  See, they really are cute...

What fun! Our kids are doing their gingerbread house today. Hopefully the cats won't destroy it this year!
